Blower Motor dead - location of relay

1990 4runner srv v6.

recently, the blower just stopped. It seems that there isn't any power to the console..A/c light wont light up when pushed...

I picked up a spare blower motor relay, but just wondering where the relay is located?

Another kick-panel removal???

ok. In my four wheeler mag they talk about this. july 05, 'Sometimes the fan stops working on all but the highest speeds' The FIX: 'this happens when the resistor that provides resistance to the blower motor burns out. The fix is easy & cheap, but the resistor can be hard to locate. It can be found beneath and behind the glovebox on pickups and 4runners"

Hope this helps.

Hey Sid, thanks for the good link

The resisitor isn't my problem though, at least I dont think so.

I have no power to the blower at all....no speeds, no nothing

I knew/know about the resistor thing, cuz my old honda did the exact same thing...resistor had fixed that, but again, the fan at least worked on the honda.

The Yota has nothing.....shouldn't the a/c button illuminate when pressed (even without fan on)?

If it was a blown resistor, the maz speed should still work, Yes??

No the fan will not work when all of the resistor is burned up hence all of the settings being open, you can visually see if the resistor is open and be verified by taking an ohmeter.
