Thumbs down Fast on the flat slow in the hills

I own a 1992 toyota pickup with a V6 3VZE engine 4WD and all that jazz

Well on to the problem, The truck will do great on the flats and freeways etc... but it will not pull fifth anymore on the straights. Then once we start to climb the hills/ mountains the power is gone we can't figure out what is wrong with it we have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, Timing belt,

At his point we suspect it is the crankshaft positioning sensor , throtle positioning sensor, airflow volume meter. so we haven't tried these things yet but if we are on the right track lket us know or if you know what in the world it is please tell us we really would like our little truck to runn up the hills fast like rabbit!!!!!!!!!.

thanks for all your help

sam

Dirty/plugged injector? Perhaps its due for a spark plugs, wires, cap 'n rotor replacement.
Dont feel too bad, my '85 4Runner wouldnt pull 5th gear downhill with a strong tailwind.

Had a 91 chev, subur 3/4 ton 4x4 that did exactly the same thing. I changed the plugs , PCV valve, fuel filter, checked the preasure in the cylenders and checked everything you could think of. It ran perfect until I put a load on it like going up a steep hill. Well....... A friend of mine told me to change the spark plug wires so I took a good look at them and found that one of them was laying against a hot manifold and shorting out. I replaced all of them and that truck ran like new! (May not be your problem but it can't hurt to check) Let your truck run at night and raise the hood and see if there is any sparks from the wires. Did you replace the injectors? If they are partially plugged the engine might not be getting as much fuel as it should.
