I've got an 88 toyota pickup with a 22re, and I've got a craving for even more power. Currently I've got my exhaust done, and a ram air system that I made using all stock parts, leaving the air box and mass air flow sensor in place. I've also got a 2psi electric super charger a sthat I'm making to run on witch, kindof like a safer version of a NOS shot. The super should only add around 5hp, so I'm trying to find more ways to give the truck a little extra power, spending as little money as possible.
Anybody have any recomendations?
Also, I was just looking into the "SuperChips" that are always for sale on ebay, and it looks like theyre just a short in the IAT sensor using a 33K OHM resistor, something you could get at radioshack for less than $1. Only problem is, I have no idea where the IAT is. Can anybody tell me where it is?

At this point, a performance camshaft will help. No offense but, I'd forget the elec. supercharger. Without some modification to the fuel management system it is not really going to be beneficial and may actually damage your engine.

that ram air probably didnt help that much. try a complete air intake kit. it will add more than the ram air, srry about the sugg. of the header, wasnt sure about it. but the cam sounds swell, try boring the engine, i know, pricey but i noticed a big increase from stock to bored, ported, polished on my quad. Not sure if the increase is noticeable in a truck though.
Take a look at cams from engnbldr.com or go to the Crower Cams site. Both are reliable sources with good quality parts. Changing the cam is fairly easy and not expensive. In other words, a good "bang for the buck". Boring the cylinders will help that's undeniable but, the cost is much more (pistons, rings, machine work, etc., ect.), and you will still want to change the cam. JMO
