How to replace drive belt on 86 4X4 22R engine

Hi

Iam newbie when it come to auto repair I have this problem with squelling sound when I start the engine but it will die down latter when I am on the road I replace the drive belt sometime ago but keep the old belt on the serpentine belt and I also notice it slack quite abit Therefore I am suspicious that the belt is slipping

I try to replace it today but first I try to remove the fan shroud no problem but getting out I need to remove the upper coolant hose and I am a bit hesitant as I have no tool to tighten the ring that hold the hose plus I am not sure if we need compound to prevent leak?

Assuming that I can remove the shroud How can I remove the drive belt i order to get access to the serpentine belt Do I have to use screw driver to yank it out or is there any bolt to loosen it ?

On the serpentine belt I see sliding bolt on the alternator mounting that I can loosen to remove the old belt

Unless your set up is different than mine you shouldnt need to remove any coolant hoses
