Hey guys howzit alrite to the point a while back i was told that Doug Thorley Tri Ys are good for the 22R-E. First id like to know whats your opinon about em or experences. If you think they are not worth it go ahead and explain and give me what u think is better. Im also attracted to the Downey headers. Any thing is welcome here thanks

Like I posted in another thread...what have you done to the the intake side of this equation? All this exhaust wont amount to squat if you haven't done anything to the intake. You may be better off putting your money into a set of gears if youre looking to quicken it up.

I actually have a doug thorley header on my '84 22R pickup. They are phenominal, an increase in torque in the first two gears. I think I got my moneys worth and I'm very picky with what I put on that yota. I love this truck and only buy quality stuff, so in my experience with this header, i'd say that It is a good investment if you are looking to maximize exhaust flow. At least this is my opinion and everybody differs in preference, but I'm so far very pleased with the thorley header!
