temp sensor on 90 22re?

where is the temperature sensor and sending unit on a 90 22re. my trucks temperature is way up! i have put a new thermostat, radiatior and wator pump. there is no coolant in the oil and no oil in the coolant so i am assuming my head gasket is fine! there is no smoke either. the water is not boiling but the temperature reads in the red. i am thinking i have a problem with one of the sensors. n e help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

From the front of your truck, looking under the hood, the temp sender is located below and to the right of the TPS (throttle body). There should be 2 sensors . The one on the right is a vac switch (should have air hoses attached) and the other will be the temp sender. They point out toward the front of the truck.
I do not think there is a sensor and a sending unit, they should be one in the same.
