89 22re A/C idle adjust

First post, I’ve been quietly reading in the background since January when I bought my 89 4x4 ext cab, 22re with 164K (love the truck). Since buying the truck I’ve done the usual maintenance, replace the plugs, cap, rotor, etc. There was the metallic rubbing noise coming from the front end, so I ordered and installed the highly recommended kit from engnbldr.com with the steel guide a few weeks ago. No complaints, the annoying sound is gone, but the front seal started leaking again after about a week. I'll have to tear back into it when I have a little more time.

Anyway, sorry for the long boring introduction, let's get the question out and hopefully an answer.
It's been getting into the mid 90's the past couple of weeks and will continue to climb, time to kick on the A/C right? Wrong, at idle the rpm's go way down and about stall the truck. I've searched this site and all over the internet and cannot find the A/C idle adjust screw that everyone mentions. The truck has the CA emissions, I don't know if that makes a difference in the location, but I can not find it anywhere. I've seen pictures of it from other posts, but it is not in the same location on my truck, maybe the previous owner took it out. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help.
