EVAP leaking gas

I have a '87 pickup, 22RE and their is a hose that comes off the bottom of the Evaporative cansiter that hangs straight down and has started leaking gas now that hotter days are here.

I first noticed it after the last fill up.

Tank is new, 1 yr old.

Took the hose from the tank to the EVAP off and let it drip into a gas can and have recovered 3 quarts in 2 days.

I've never had it happen on my Camry, my Astro or Caravan.

I cant seem to find any info in the Haynes manual.

Is this normal?

That is not normal. Are you sure the canister is working normally and hooked up correctly? Is the hose to the purge port on the intake ok?
