Taco auto trans oil change?
Ive been getting some conflicting answers for the best way to change my Trans oil on my 97 taco with a 3.4 . Toyota says there is no need to drop the pan and change the filter which i understand and im fine with. But if you simply drain the fluid, you,re not really getting all of it out right? My truck has 100k on it now and i only drained and refilled the fluid once at about 50k and thats because i used to pull a Boat. Ive heard that you might not trust a regular garage to flush it out because they often dont know what theyre doing with the special flush machine. Is the "dealer" going to soak $ me to get them to flush the tranny with all the fluid they use? What is the true capacity of fluid for an automatic? I dont even know what type of fluid to use its been so long. Thanks for the replies
