intake,headers, exhaust

I have a 1993 toyota pickup with the 22re engine. I currently have funds for either an intake, exhaust, or headers. What would be the wisest choice for me. For the intake, it would be the kn fipk becuase thats the only one i can find to support the "secondary air line", the exhaust i have looked at the is pacesetter kat back, and the headers i was looking at were also made by pacesetter.

here's my opinion, im sure people wont agree, but hey thats why its an opinion. it wouldnt make much sense to get the headers unless you got the cat back system too. only because your letting more flow through the header, but its then again restricted by the stock exhaust small pipe. the intake would be a good choice depending on if it comes with a heat shield ( or whatever its called). if its not a cold air intake, then your just sucking in hot air into the motor, and it really doesnt do anything. but if it has the heat shield thing, then it would be a decent investment. so there you have it, either the cat back, or the intake (if it has the heat shield)

Bosal sells a pretty good one. Borla does one as well as Magnaflow I believe.

i agree with blkdmnrcing and shrum ok this is what i have for the intake: my truck is a 92 4wd 22R-E if u look from the front at the airbox there is this plastic thing in front/on the headlight(left) remove it then take the top part of the airbox off and unbolt the bottom half. Inside there should be this pipe remove it. now on the left side of the intake there should be a cicurlar imprint cut that out i used a hot knife now cover the intake holes with some screen reassemble and check it out. Sound sweet and better response. Im going to be gettin Tri Ys and a DeltaFlow next. Good luck man

new twist?... The truck is lowered giving it a good stance, but this was done by the previous owner. The ride quality is not the greatest but it does handle really well. would my money be better spent on new shocks? there are 170,xxx miles on the truck.
