Advice on new Carburetor and Camshaft please?

Hi all. I have a 1984 toyota pickup with a 22R motor. At the moment I have thorley headers, a high flow catylitic converter, and a flowmaster muffler. All the pipes after the header are 2.25 inch. Just giving you an idea about the mods ive done. My question is: Im looking into buying a bigger two-barrel carburetor, and a performance camshaft. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice for a good combination to maximize performance and HP. Or, if anybody has any suggestions for one or the other alone, this would be great. Im really focused on making this truck quicker, It's showing lots of promise. Thanks for any help you can give!

-Robbie

A 32/36 Weber carb is a good, all around upgrade. For camshafts, I'm partial to Crower. They have a several to choose from.

a weber 32/36 is a good chioce for a carbuerator. i have heard good things about them. a 38/38 might also work, but i am not sure. i have mainly heard of te 32/36 being used with good results. as far as camshafts. check http://www.LCEngineering.com or maybe Downey. both of those are reliable, top dollar sources. i would be hesitant to buy one of those ebay camshafts, you can never be sure with that stuff.

Get a spare intake manifold and have it machined out then make an adapter to bolt on a 2barrel 350cfm holley. This would be the most adjustable and easiest to get parts for aftermarket carb available. A visit to TRD will get you some inner springs for the valves. Have you swapped the gears and diff yet?
