cheap? get a flowmaster or whatever floats your boat. You cant expect much for little $$$ you get what you pay for. My suggestion would be get headers and better flowing exhaust and a fresh new gear 4.88

Lower shocks? Where did you come up with something like that? First, shocks don't do anything for ride height as they don't carry the load, the springs do.

Second, a lower, as you call it, will overextend and be history the first time the suspension travel maxes out.

The poster asked for help, not some lame brain know-nothing response. These forums are a great place to get ideas and knowledge but after reading some of the posts here it amazes me that some people can even pass the drivers test to get a license.

if someone asks for help please don't respond with guesses and know-nothing answers. It's always been my opinion that if you don't have first-hand knowledge about a posters question then don't respond with some nonsense response. But I guess some people just like to hear themself talk.

To answer your question, theres really not alot you can do to a 22R and gain massive performance. These trucks were not designed for speed and power. You can make some cosmetic changes, but as far performance, you will be throwing your money away. It's a 2-wheel drive truck not a Corvette. If you want it quicker then your best bet is to sink your money in a set of gears. Gas mileage will suffer a bit, and you'll lose a little top end speed, but it will be fun to buzz around town.
