I have a '93 pickup and am looking for a canopy. I found some guy that is willing to give me an old '81 pickup that has a nice looking canopy on it. Per the picture it doesn't look right for the truck, looks like it may fit mine better. Anyone know if the beds are the same? Will they fit a wide range of years? I may just take the truck to part it out.

i think that the beds are slightly different, but i could be wrong. if it is free, you should definetly take it and part it out if nothing else.

I have no idea how much demand there is for those years parts. The local junk yard only has one Toy PU and it is stripped clean. I see you have an 80, this one may actually be an 80 as well. The bed looks bad but the front is mostly straight.

look at the front headlights and the bumper, if the bumper has plastic end caps it is an 81 or above. if it has circular headlights it is a 79 or 80. also, the 79 or 80 had the 20r, and the 81s and up had the 22r. if it is the original motor you can tell what year it is from that.
