Ignition?

i have a 94 p/u 2wd 22re and im doing a bunch of little things to it and was thinking of new wires and maybe a better ignition setup. anyone know what the most worthwhile setup would be? thanks

Is your intake stock? If it is leave the ignition alone.

Stay away from any aftermarked junk. That is just what they are. You'll start burning up other ignition components such as the signal generator on the distributor as well as other stuff. There is a reason why oem parts cost an arm and a leg....they work very well and are reliable as hell.

Personal experience over the years:

Avoid the poseur parts and insist on TOTOTA! Neon boxes and glossy ads mean nothing when you are stranded on the side of the road by BS parts!

Toyota ignitions prove themselves in rainy South American jungles, African deserts and Alaskan winters mile after mile...year after year. No one else comes even close to knowing the ignition system of your Toyota truck like Toyota.

I have a 92 2wd 22re, with lots of mods to the engine. push the oem parts to there limits and if it is still not doing the job, then upgrade the parts. Look at Lc engineering for more input on parts and upgrades.
