Speedo

Hi all!
First post
I have a 91 truck with the 3.O L
Sometimes, especially in the mornings, and colder weather, my speedo wants to rattle some.
Anyone have this probem, and is there an easy fix?
Thanks

Most likely got a sticky speedo wire.

Take the wire speedo cable off, and pump it full of WD-40.

If you still got a problem, it might be the speedo wire gears.
You can tell if the gears are crunched when you keep accellerating, but the speedo stays steady at a certain speed...wiggling.

Could you give me a little detail on how to lube the speedo.
Don't want to mess anything up.
Thanks Bud!

Take the gauge assembly out, then unscrew the speedo wire out the back. You cannot miss it...it's big and fat, and screwed in right behind the speedo gauge.

Just keep filling it til it doesn't accept anymore!

speedo

My speedometer guage jumps... as well as my tachometer, gas guage, temperature, ect..... but thats cause my Infinity subs kick the hell out of everything.

hmm...unless they changed something from 91 to 92, the speedo is electronic, not cable driven. If its rattling, it might be loose (but it screws into plastic)
