'04 Taco Double Cab w/ 2.7L I-4 MPG KING??????????

Well, I'm probably the idiot for not knowing........(though none of the "regulars" here noted my plea for MPG in a truck)......... ...........and spoke up?!?!!!!

Anyway, I noticed that although you CAN'T get an '05 Taco in a double cab w/ a 4-cylinder, you *CAN* get it in an '04..............In a "PreRunner", even!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!

Now, I've perused ebay a bit for them and see a few, but also noticed the MPG (while I thought it would be much higher since our '02 here at work does really well on gas, though it's only a single cab) isn't exactly *rated* greatly.

Perhaps some folks with them here could say what kind of mileage they're getting??? (Oh, yes, automatic trans too baby!!!)

Either that or suggesting maybe I keep the F150 still and just stick to my original plan of picking up a Corolla or Echo or Prius?? (LOL) instead of actually *replacing* the truck.

Then there's the whole thought of getting a "COLORADO!"

'04 Tacoma ext cab Prerunner 4 cyl. auto tranny-just over 21 mpg in town, I just installed the K&N factory replacement air filter last weekend, but haven't had time to check the new mpg yet, altho from looking at the fuel gage-it has improved. Haven't taken it on a road trip yet, so dont know about hwy mpg.
