Try getting some cheaper stuff like cold air intake first and KN Air Filters. Then if you want to spend some more money, go with better intake manifold and exhaust. If you really want to spend the G's, get a supercharger or turbocharger.

Ya, I don't know squat about V6 performance parts, I was just listing off some mods that I know of for engines in general. A turbo and all the parts needed to make your engine able to handle the exta load, would be, maybe 5000, correct me if Im wrong people. Turbos are expensive, but worth every penny in my eyes. The other stuff like cold air intake and exhaust might be 500 total depending how high quality you go. Good Luck.

There are no forced induction kits nor CAI for this engine that I know of.

I had a set of Downey headers, a bored TB, a NWOR exhaust, no cat, FAL black magic fan, and a K&N FIPK on my '89 3VZ-E. According to the butt dyno, my truck seemed to feel a bit quicker. Maybe I can hit 18's in my truck now. My fuel economy did go up with the mods.

My truck is 4WD ext cab SR5 Auto and in my opinion, it was not worth the upgrading. Maybe it's because I own a SRT-4 now and with the amount of money I spent on my truck, it would've benefited more with the SRT-4. If you do decide to add on performance parts to your truck, I'd say skip the FIPK. The air from the fan hits the engine and the hot air from it heads right to the area where the FIPK is. If you put your hand by the FIPK filter, you can actually feel the heated air hitting the filter. Just get a K&N drop in instead.
