CD player died!!!!!!!!!

Well I guess it was just a matter of time before something happened to my 4Runner. I got in one day, the CD was ejected, but when I went to put it back in, the unit did not pull the CD in like it is supposed to.

Now, I have nothing, and I am afraid to put a CD all the way in. Does anyone have any suggestions on why the CD player would quite working? The radio works fine. Is there an aftermarket unit made for my vehicle, or should I think about having a shop repair it?

Thanks,
Craig

Probably cheaper to buy a used replacement off Ebay.

Or you can always get a decent aftermarket CD player for about 100 bucks or less.

Try disconnecting the negative battery termial. It might reset a code or something in the CD player.

Other than trying that I don't think there will be much more that you can do. Probably just need to replace it

Ya, gotta replace your old unit most likely. I recomend either doning a CarPC, or if you cant afford that, a Clarion unit.
