With the motor at normal operating temp, .008 on the intake and .012 on the exhaust. Or, with the motor cold, .007 intake and .011 on the exhaust. The latter is much easier to execute and you won't burning yourself making the adjustments. It's also more accurate since the tolerances change as the motor cools down if you adjust them hot. This is actually the how Toyota set them at the factory and the method I prefer.

This is a prime example why it is important to purchase the factory service manuals only. I've learned this by experience. If you were to set the valves at that tolerance, you would have burned every valve and ended up doing an entire head job. You made the right decision asking
