another PU/ 4 runner engine swap question

ok when it comes to americn engines i know nutting altho i know its suppose to be simple but anyz the engine swap kit offered by downey anyone used them for a swap or know anyone who has? this is the page

they say for the PU V6 you can use a chev V6 or V8 but which one? do they mean any? because i seen a guy on cardomain with a LS1 engine i donno if it was a custom job or kit gimme some help please thanks
