4x2? 4x4? A little more info would help.
Im going to go out on a limb here and say that for a '95 4x4 15" wheels are standard. Not sure about backspacing though...

So if I get 15 x 8 rock crawler rims, I won't have any problems? I just need to know the backspacing if anyone knows, I want to avoid any and all problems. Thanks a lot.

Are you sure that 31s are the stock tire size? I thought that you could get it with P235s with 4.10 gearing or 31s with 4.56 gearing?
My '91 4Runner's stock tire size was P22575R15.

Is it a truck or a tacoma? 4WD Trucks i know from 1989(the new body style for that time)-1995.5 came with 225/75R15(15x6 steel) w/4cyl dlx. Thats what mine came with from the dealer. V6's Came w/31x10.50x15 on aluminum rims(15x7).

yeah It's a '95 Tacoma SX 4x4. and it came with the size tires/rims I stated. this is my 3rd set. tho i went to a different tread design. we have alot of buckshot mud here.
as far as gearing, i don't remeber the specs, but it did come with the gearing to pull those size tires. it was a selling point at the time. which I love....
