Converting An Automatic to 5 Speed
Hello everyone. Well after purchasing an 86 P/U Longbed with a blow motor I finally got it all back together with a nice clean rebuild that I personally built with all Toyota parts including the FIPG. After the countless hours of work and getting it all back together I found out the tranmission does not work. I would much rather have a 5 speed so I am working on converting it. Has anybody out there done this before and do you guys have any pointers? The holes are not cut out on this truck so I am going to have to do some cutting and it looks like I am going to have to replace the steering column but other than that I think I am gonna have a field day at my local wrecking yard. Any comments or "heads ups" would be appreciated.
