1991 Landcruiser Turbo Diesel VX Question

Hi Guys

I've got a bit of an odd one.
I have a 1991 Toyota Landcruiser VX Sahara 4.2 turbo diesel auto.
The exhaust has a loud whhhoooossshhhhhhing sound everytime i accelerate, its there slightly at idle and then the more u accelerate or rev the engine the louder it gets.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Its an exhaust leak somewhere take a look under your cruiser and look for a posible leak. Maybe you have a BOV

i originally thought it was an exhaust leak to, however the whoossshhhing sound is coming out at the end of the exhaust(back of car).

Any other idea's? Maybe something to do with the turbo?
The only other thing i can think of is that for some reason the exhaust goes from standard to a 3" bit of pipe over the diff then back to standard diametre pipe. would the expansion and the sudden restriction do this?

nope no blowoff valve

to me it sounds like a leak or an exhaust block, but the fact that its making the noise at the end of the exhaust makes me think its something else

The only other thing i can think of is that for some reason the exhaust goes from standard to a 3" bit of pipe over the diff then back to standard diametre pipe. would the expansion and the sudden restriction do this? what do you think?
