Brake Line Size??

I have a '90 pickup and the brake lines are rusted out on the frame rail next to the gas tank. What a suprise huh?

Is the line itself metric or just the fittings on the end? Basically I need to know what size to get to replace the bad sections of the lines (flaring and unions of course, no compression fittings)

Thanks alot for the help/.
