Canada body lift

hey guys, i've got somebody to fab me up a couple lift blocks. they will lift my truck 2 and 3/4 inches in the rear, and i'm planning on just adjusting the front with the torsion bars. Is this going to affect the drive line in the rear to the point that i should have to modify it? or will it be alright? first lift i've ever done, so any input would be great. thanks

I would advise getting AAL's instead, plus cranking the t-bars. Worked fine in my 88 4runner. For good local tech info try bc4x4.com. What part of BC are you from?

Add-A Leaf. Sever manufacturers make them. Explorer Pro Comp has some at Summit Racing for cheap!!!! Check that out before you use some homemade stuff.

i would advise against lift blocks and the torsion bar cranking. the add-a-leaves for the rear are a good, cheap way to lift the rear. if you want to have a capable suspension in the front. i was always warry of cranking torsion bars. my friend did that in his pickup and it wasn't great. IMO you should just save up and get a suspension lift.

well i think i'm gonna put the blocks in, and see how it is, they're only 2 inches, and i don't plan on cranking the torsion bars to max height, i don't really need to lift my truck, i just wanted to level it out, 'cause the back sagged pretty good. I've heard that add a leaf just makes the ride super stiff tho. i dunno, a friend said he'd make 'em, so i'm gonna give it a shot. its free, and if it doesn't work out good, i'll take 'em out. i'll put a post up, on how it goes, thanks a lot for input tho

So i put in the lift blocks yesterday, and it looks really good. I just need to adjust the torsion bars now, and lift the front about an inch and a half. I was wondering, if there was any advice i could use before doing this. and how much am I going to have to turn them to raise it that hight?
