Thank you so very much for your post "replacing 2az-fe serpentine belt" that you did back in 2007.
I followed it today 06/22/2013 and it worked perfectly. ~ 10-15min. 2005 Camry XLE w/ 93,000mi on it. 1st belt change on it.
Used 3/8" drive 9" long breaker bar w/ 21" pipe (3/4" in diam) as real breaker bar over it, and a 19mm 3/8" socket. The 3/8" socket & bar allows easy access to the tensioner nut. 1/2" bar and 1/2" 19mm (1 1/2" long) socket, doesn't quite make it onto the tensioner nut; however a short 1/2" 19mm socket would probably fit.
I used a BANDO BELT 7PK1940 764K7 bought on eBay for ~$18 incl s&h and it fit perfectly.
If not for your write-up (which was excellent) I might have taken it into the dealer.
I have done the rear brakes and rotors ~75,000mi and will soon do the front brakes and rotors (at 93,000 mi it still has 4mm of brake pads left on the original pads) AMAZING!
I can't thank you enough for that excellent presentation!
