Hey man, I have an '05 Corolla also I am also faced with the same dilemma as the rest of us 05-06 owners. The difference between the 03-04's and 05 and up is that 05 has a drive by wire throttle body which is meant to greatly increase throttle response. Honestly, i don't know the difference b/w the short ram intakes but I know that now Cosmo Racing offers a SRI exclusively for the '05 Rollas. Its only like 80 bux so its a great deal too. I have heard great things from Cosmo so it would be just as good a bet as AEM, Injen, K&N, etc... I have heard of people using intakes for 03-04's with no problems and some got a check engine light, but you never know until you try. I hope that helped!
