How much has your truck hauled? - Pics

Just thought it would be cool to see some pics of your truck loaded down. Here's one of my recent move from Nebraska to Tennessee. I have an '88 2wd 4-cyl 22R. I wish I knew the total weight, but for sure it was heavy. Both the truck and trailer were completed loaded with everything from books and clothes and computer equipment to spare truck parts and tools. Still I maintained 65 mph no problem, 50 mph up steeper inclines; and I averaged 23 mpg!!!

Looks like you got good springs in the back.

Sometimes I see trucks that got so loaded up, the back end is very low to the ground.

balancing the load also makes a huge difference. the truck had the heaviest items forward of or over the axle, and i had the trailer balanced well too. i ended up putting a couple of cinder blocks in the back of it to get the right balance.

i had a friend who tried to pull a trailer with her car and it ended in disaster. not only did she have the trailer loaded where most of the weight was sitting on the hitch, she didn't know you have to have an automatic tranny fluid cooler. hindsight is 20/20 they say, but that doesn't mean much when you are watching your car burn because the transmission got too hot.

thankfully mine is a manual and i don't have to worry about that.

I once hauled and old fashioned steel British telephone booths which we placed near our pool at our previous home. I dont have any pics. It was really heavy, but the tacoma handled it decently.

This was probably close to 1000lbs or slightly more. It was riding on the bump stops but still handled pretty well.
