I was reading about that issue last week. I for one, would be severely pissed if nothing was done about it. Especially if I was one of the ones with very few mods, and didn't aggressively wheel my FJ.

I would be on the assumption that the frame is flexing so severly it is causing the fender well to stress too much, I'm going to have a look at my Taco in a bit....
