So whats the stupidest thing your dealership has done?
Doesnt matter if before, during, after the purchase, service, ect...?
I'll start.
Today went to the parts counter to ask about seat covers.....the old fart argued with me that they didnt make them. He was to friggin lazy to look it up on the computer so I went home printed the info and took it back. Problem is I was nice and he was an ass with a customer. Course when he saw me his comment is he just looked it up....but again, asshole tone of voice. The one thing that drives me nuts is poor customer service.
Cute blonde behind the counter knew exactly what I was talking about. So seeing her made it worth while...lol.....
Oh found this after my first oil change. Common to use, but dont forget its there...lol.
Well, gotta give them credit on the suspension TSB....no muss, no fuss. I havent gone back for the tailgate so keeping fingers crossed on that....Chris
service manager telling me i have altered front suspension parts, and cant do warranty work on it, when infact there stock!!!!!!!

When I was looking at 4 door Jeep Wranglers, I told the salesperson I only wanted a model that already came equipped with a locker, He replied "They don't make a vehicle thats doors don't lock".
Jacksonville Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep is a terrible dealer. If you live in Jax, don't shop there. They are rude, and stupid. They also have a Jeep in the show room with an 7K Offroad Package that does not include a locker, fogs or tow hooks.
Andy07 would probably win the prize. I was following your thread the last couple of days. If anything at least you have another dealership in the area to go to. Id still follow up with Toyota Corp.
Ok, I go to the dealer to buy a truck. Dealer told me it was going to take a week to get my truck from Tenn. Ok thats cool. (I wanted a TRD sport in Indigo ) Week later no truck, called them "(Dealer) Oh, we have secured the truck and it will be here in 2 days." Ok. 2 days later no truck. "(Dealer) It will be here tomorrow." Next day no truck, I call them up again, "It will be here by the end of the week." This time it actually arrived, but wasn't a TRD sport it was a TRD off road, not what I ordered, still a nice truck. I weighed the pros cons of the sport vs off road and decided to buy. Glad I did. Funny thing it came from Cincinnati, Cincinnati is a little more than an hour from the dealership. To this day they still claim it came from Tenn. when the dealer in Cincinnati told me they had someone pick it up. Doesn't matter where it came from I guess, but why lie about where it came from??? I won't even get started with the TSB issues.
Took my truck in for service recently. When I called to set up my appointment the service guy I was talking to asked if my Tacoma was a V6 or a V8. Said guy asked with no hesitation whatsoever.
My Reaction : "UUUHHHH V6"
My Thoughts : "Did you really just ask me that?!?!?!"
My Next Step : I think ill do my own maintenance from now on

This is the aftermath of taking my car to the dealer to have a little scratch fixed. After telling the dealer over and over again to not buff my car, guess what they did? This pic was taken after it was in a body shop for a couple days to see if they can fix the damage my moron Nissan dealer did. This car was only 3 weeks old with 500 miles at the time of the pic. Ruined my brand new SE-R.
Look where the sun meets the car. Every inch of the vehicle was buffed. Including the roof, pillars, ground effects, everything.
I took my 99 in to have water pump replaced (under warranty) and was told that I might want to consider changing the timing belt. I said ok, since you have it off to get to the pump, how much. i was told $305. $305 for the tech to walk from the front of my vehicle to the parts counter, get a new belt and put it on. Either way, he/she was either going to put the old one on or a new one. They were pricing it as if I drove up and asked for a timing belt change. Needless to say I did it myself and will never go back to that one again. I am not asking for something to be done for free but give me a break. The belt was less than $100 and the labor was already done. Anyhow, that is may only frustration so I guess that I am lucky seeing others that have had it worse.

Bought a brand new Tacoma this weekend and as i was signing the papers they pulled it in to clean it up and scratched the shit out of the fender flair. Cant even tell you how pissed i was. Then they tried to give me a carolla and said i could pick it up tuesday (Which requires me to drive 70 miles) I took my trade and said it would be waiting for them when they delivered my Tacoma.

I had to have my dealer do the leaf spring tsb twice. They installed new versions of the old springs and installed the correct shocks. The service manager was a little hesitant to admit that someone screwed up. Today I finally got the correct springs..... much better.

I bought a used 98 last year from a dealer, and soon after the ECL came on. I took it back to have the code read.
Go back later that day and the service manager comes up and sits down next to me. Tells me it was the gas cap, but there was a problem. The tech pulling it in to the bay hit the corner of the bay and it was damaged.
They gave me a free loaner '08 Camry and fixed it in two days with a new bumper, corner light, and touch up repaint, so that was cool.
