I have about rubbed the white letters off of the tires parking so close to curbs but I have actually managed to go 4 months in Dallas traffic/parking and no door dings yet. I know they are a coming, but so far I have had good luck in that area anyway. Knock on wood.....

Today is my Tacoma's one year Bday! 17,600 miles on her and not one door ding yet! I do have road specks and a couple of light scratches others cared to give me but not a single door ding at all. So rubbing the white letters off of the tires and parking in the far reaches of the parking lots has paid off.

I've had mine since January and so far so good....but like you I'm very picky when it comes to parking.
16 more days and it is 2 years old with 36K miles on her. Again, NOT ONE DOOR DING ON HER AT ALL. I still park in the far reaches of the parking lots and I have rubbed the black off of the tires and it shows the white letter material now in some spots.

Are you sure? Look along the bottom on the cab where the paint is textured/orange peel looking...and I can guarantee with the right light and angle you will see at least a few.
I'll take a good look today to see if I see any down there but I am so picky on parking spots I really doubt there are any there. I will hunt for that large end space near a curb and suck that curb, which is why the tires have the rubber off in some spots and show white there now. These tires are almost done and it will be time for new ones soon.
