Suggestions for forum layout and navigation

I really like when you guys had it running the other way with the sub forums. It was nice when I wanted to look for an audio solution to go to that tires, etc. So how about when we create a new thread we put at the front of it a category, for example:

Audio: New Amp install.

Wheels and Tires: Which Wheel and Tire setup should I go with?

I think that this would be a really simple way to make it obvious what the treads about and should also help out when search for something.

I do have another idea about this but it may not be as easy to do. I was wondering if it would be possible to put some different post icons for these specific things, the ones that we have to choose from are no to useful from what I can see. But if we had a speaker for audio, a mud tire and wheel for tire and wheel, a spring for suspension, etc. I think it could help out the navigation of the treads.

Good ideas, but it all comes back to people being lazy and not using the icons when they post. That is why the other sub-forums got deleted.... lazy people not posting in the correct forum.

FirsToy.... great idea!!! but getting people to do that is gonna be impossible, IMO. most people during the day are in a hurry and just type any old title that comes to mind. They are in a hurry, because they're likely working and NOT being lazy........they're just trying to be efficient as ToyotaNation isn't their only worry in the world.

It'd be nice to see subforums within each USA region that would separate the 4WD related events (all the trucks, SUV's, etc) versus the non-4WD events (everything else).
