maybe #9 but that petition will not change anything. The people that want thoes options are the minority.

Wow, that's interesting. I signed it. What I don't understand is why these options are available on Toyota's overseas, but not in America (Boxed frames, solid front axles etc.).
wow, that's a waste of time. good idea but, yeah in the grand scheme of things they (we) are the minority.
i'll be goddamned though if we ever get the diesel...
whats funny is I remember seeing something similar to this on a ranger forum.
You can get most of those options if you get a Heep Rubican rated to tow about 1500 pounds. I think they even cost about the same or a little more then a fully loaded sport Tacoma.
Well that was very creative and awesome rig but 90% of us don't use those options. Other than #9 I now own my first toyota and love it and its ifs handles great and goes in the mud fine.. It does not ! Flex like the 79 ford I had on 33's with solid axles ,but then again I didn't buy my tacoma to go rock crawling in. I would love a turbo diesel 200hp 4cyl and 30mpg so I hope they see #9
That is funny because I can just imagine what Ranger owners would petition Ford for. I hated mine.
Now is something along the lines of. Um Ford Motor Company, Can you please change the ranger.
I think the ranger has had one Major suspension upgrade since it was created.
a bunch of face lifts.
one enlargement of cab size in 98 got like 3 more inches longer.
The interior is about the same threw out. The new dash layout reminds me of the original dash layout.
They Did give it a big 4.0 in 01 With the SOHC rated 207HP and something like 215TQ, Of course then Toyota came out a few years later with the DOHC.
They did at one point for a couple of years get a Ranger with 5speed manuel and Manuel T-case. Turned out to have a bunch of problems.
I don't mind the rangers at all really. But what happened was I test drove this TOY. And I liked it a lot more. Did research, and it seems like it will do what I want it to and also hold its Value, which is a big deal to me,
I have had.
92 Ranger
88 BII
97 Ranger
01 Ranger
04 Ranger.
Currently trying to sell my 97.
the older Rangers had either the 2.9 or 3.0 which are pretty much bullet proof but lack power. 4.0 SOHC is not to sabby. I know my rangers.
^Yup, I had a '96 3.0 and it was a total dog. Reliable, yes, but the trans took a dump and needed a rebuild which was ridiculous considering it was a manual. I've owned probably 7 or 8 Fords, starting with an '89 Escort GT I bought new in '89 while in college.
Anyhow, that's off topic, not that the current topic is going anywhere anyway, lol.

It wouldn't hurt to try get toyota to put out these options. Yes, I would love a TD tacoma, but I highly doubt anything will come out of signing the petition.
