Went there on saturday with blackhawke88, and another buddy who just bought an 08 DC long bed 4x4. Was pretty fun, didn't do anything drastic, but me and blackhawke88 tried out 5 fingers hill climb, duno if we have a video but we got some pictures off my friends camera. I only made it half way in my 4x2 but it was the most difficult trail we tried being a black diamond.
I have to say this would be a fun place to do a meet, and just go wheeling. I'll do a post for the next time we go to gather souls if any one on here would like to come.
some of the guys at customtacos are thinking about hitting it up in mid-May. we had a MidCal meet last weekend that was a lot of fun and want to continue the fun at Hollister. Here is the feeler thread going on at CT
yea, hollister hills was awesome, especially 5 fingers hill...i barely made it with some carnage to my left front bumper, all in good stride tho. Post up them pics Ken!!!
I have to say being how close it is, i found a pismo substitute, plus i won't need to worry about running over people on atv's and dirt bikes. Yeah at the bottom we though you where gona roll. You where at a pretty bad angle from what it looked like from below. How much gas did you use overall coming to and from? I used a little over a quarter tank? Do you have a MAF installed that should help with the tune of your truck since i think it guzzles from the what you told me last time.
Yea it felt hella hairy near the top, but I jus kept giving it gas.
From leaving Santa Clara to getting back, that entire day, was a whole half tank. MAF isnt installed yet, gotta find an electrician around me somewhere. Check out that customtacos link up top and see if we can go again with those members.
I tried...asked gadget about the plug in play, see how much to send it back and wire up the harness...he said $200 more...im better off getting it installed

ok here are some pictures people
Starting from the left, thats Edgar, Aaron, and myself.
It's a lot steeper then it looks in real life
Bronco stuck with 35's stuck in a quarry pit all the way to the frame.
Aaron trying to pull him out, 100% dead weight since it won't start.
Couldn't get back far enough but had a jeep strapped to Aaron's truck to help also. We finally got him out after we jump started it. The guys in the Bronco didn't have anything, no straps no cables, but we come prepaired.
Five fingers hill climb my buddy walked it and had to get on all 4's after half way up.
Aaron mobbin it up in his 4x4 truck
I only made it half way in my 4x2
Aarons facial damage after taking a bad line close to the top of 5 fingers, looked he was gona roll from the bottom.
It's fun total gas usage from Santa Cruz was a little over a quarter tank, and from Santa Clara is a half tank. We didn't get to many action or trail shots since we didn't have any copilots and my dog doesn't know how to work a camera.
