Pain In The Ass, But Worth Every Hour

So this weekend I started sound deadening the Tacoma. Im starting to realize its alittle more involved & time consuming than origionally thought. I planned on getting the floor & back wall busted out this weekend but come 6pm sunday I realized I wouldnt have enough time to get the interior back in, in time to drive to work today.

Luckily I was able to set up a ride for the week so I want to get the floor, back wall, & roof completed this weekend.

If I can find my damn camera charger Id post pics, so I appologize in advance.

Wow, that looks like way too much work for a little more quietness in the cab. But hey, have it man, good luck with that project.

Well, the main reason for this is for my sound system that is going in when this is done. Being quiet is a plus, but yea its alot of work.

I'm planning to do the floor soon. It's the only thing left. I was thinking about going with Raamat and ensolite but was seriously looking at Second skin products. Anyone have experience with them (damplifier pro for example).

Good work on the project.

Im using Second skins closed cell foam for my last layer. Not sure about their other products, but it seems to be the same as the others just with their brand on it. Im sure they all do the same job, correct me if im wrong.

How hard was gutting the interior (seats, carpet, etc)? How long did it take you?

Honestly it wasnt that bad. Took about 1.5 hours. I had never done anything, as far as taking apart a car(or truck) & it was pretty simple.

I looked around and found the Manual. Got to say it was easy with directions. Just got to find the huevos and dive in.

Just get a socket set, keep everything tidy (as far as parts), and back track.

VIVA LA TACO!!!!!!!!!!

Progress Update

This weekend I finished the floor & back wall. Now just have to get the roof & doors.

I'm seriously thinking about doing this to my Taco, not for a sound system but I really love to have just a really quiet ride. What kind of mat are you using and about how much does it cost per sq foot?

PS, looks great too!!! good job!
