Can you give me your two cents on what I'm doing wrong??? I've sold over a dozen PP vehicles after accurately researching deprecation values/market and this POS just isn't moving. Getting ready to park it in Philly for a night
Let me have it!

it isnt just your truck that is not selling, its all trucks right now. too many people are using the gas crunch to buy smaller more economical vehicles and dealers are having issues with too many trucks on their lots. just wait and it will sell. it just might take a bit longer than you would expect given the market conditions.

#2 wait 6 months or a year for it to sell at that price, meanwhile it will depreciate further and you'll still end up selling it for $1500 under your current asking price..
people just aren't buying unless they get a really good deal.... you've got a NICE looking truck though!!!! Good luck.

As mentioned earlier, lower your price by a couple grand. Here in Philly, your truck can be easily had brand new for $27K-$28K. For a few thousand more, I think more people would go right into a new vehicle over used. I know you list all the add-ons, but they're not really worth diddly. The truck market is in the crapper now....Any reason why you can't hold on to it a bit longer and wait out the market?

I'll save my wife from the trouble of giving me lead poisoning and I'll suck the wadcutter out of the Glock all by myself b/f I sell my truck for 22k!!!:ahhhh:
But I know you're right....market is sooooooooooooo soft. Dealer '07's without all the OEM/aftermarket stuff are mid 26's to 29 here in S MD (and not moving either...).
I shopped for my next car to find the one I wanted and would have KILLED to find one the way I keep my stuff taken care of.
The next owner will feel like he went to bed with Whoopie Goldberg and woke up with Shenaya Twain when he goes from his old ride to my Speedway Blue Taco!!!

put yourself in a buyers shoes.... 25k used 07' vs 27K for a NEW 08/09'.
its only worth what someone is willing to pay and all accessories will sell for squat unless you sell them all to members of toyotanation.com. people go by kbb or nada.com values when they're shopping. also, people won't pay more for a truck that has been taken immaculate care of.... it is worth what it's worth dirty, clean or having been driven without an oil change for 20,000 miles........
when i was younger my dad always told me to take care of the truck for myself.... and not for the next owner.
It sucks, but reality has arrived..... and the economy is in a ditch with no 4x4 to pull it out!!!

Nice Truck! Damn nothing really to add that hasn't been said & hope someone scoops it up. You have a nice looking tacoma!
I will say that a couple weeks ago on craigslist up here in good ol VT there was an 07 that someone was selling due to a sudden death in the family. It was a DC 4WD OR w/ a snugtop cap & tow pkg, low miles for $18500. It was gone in a day.
Rather than lower your price I would try additional advertisement. E-bay, Craigslist, Newspaper, Trucktrader, carsoup, etc. It might cost a little bit more to advertise, but the exposure could be worth it.
Yup....trying craigslist all over the east coast, autotrader, cars.com, and cringe at the notion of leaving the truck parked in an empty lot somewhere for more exposure.
Anybody have a line on a good consignment lot? It might be last resort if I move on 15 June and have not found a new home for it yet.
I just bought a car that had 13k in aftermarket 'stuff' and gave the guy about 40 cents on the dollar for the goodies. I pay to play, and expect others to do the same (will not give somebody an $1100 rolltop cover for free). With a 1k rebate, a stock truck could be had for 27k....and then drop 3 into it to get a reasonable "apples to apples" comparison. So would I personally rather spend 30 or 25? If I was wiping my kid's butts with Benji's, I'd go new. If I wanted to save some $$ for the disney vacation and have my truck, then it is a no-brainer. All somebody has to do is see the damned thing and the economics won't have to be discussed b/c the truck is so friggin' clean......
rant over. out. dun.
Thanks for the thoughts and tell your buds! I WILL pay a finders fee!
~John

Here's a thought, have you thought about trading it in? Take all your extras and part it out. I hear what your saying about throwing in the goodies, but I think a lot of buyers want to somewhat change certain aspect of a used vehicle when they buy it so it somewhat feels like thiers. I don't think many people are going to like everything about your truck (it is a nice truck) for example, the running boards or your rims, but they may like the color or that it's a long bed. So with that in mind, they aren't going to want to pay as they see it for those items. Anyways good luck on finding a buyer. Maybe you should drive it down here to philly; park it and leave the keys in it. Let your insurance buy it j/k

I just spent a week in S. Philly at Boeing...I don't think I'd have to even park it
Thinking about re-badging it. Throw on another set of TRD Sport stickers and a Tacoma badge....put some bling back on board. I'll even throw in a free tank of gas! (no, wait, I take that back........cost me $67 freakin' dollars to fill it up last week. UNBELIEVABLE)
