Would this amp be good for my setup? PDX-4.150

I recently purchased a set of components, Polk Audio MMC6500 for the front and the 8 inch subwoofer enclosure for Toyota Tacoma Access Cabs, with an Image Dynamics 8 inch sub (ID8 D4v.3 dual 4 ohm with 50 to 300 watt RMS) from Supercrewsound.com.

For an amp I was thinking of going with the Alpine PDX-4.150. Would this be a good choice(I listen to mostly hip-hop and rap) to power the Polks and the sub, or would this amp be overkill?

Are you planning on bridging the amp to power the woofer? if so, i think you may have to run 2 amps. I just finished resolving this issue my self. I was gonna run a set of Infinity Reference's (6.5" comps) and a JL 8w7 and just bridge one part of the amp to the woofer. Found out the 8w7 would make the amp run at 2ohm, while trying to power speakers at a different rating.

However since both the Momo's and the Woofer are 4 ohm, it should work out for you.

Yes, I would use the pdx to run both the Polks and the sub. At least that's my idea for now

Actually I went ahead and bought the Alpine MRP-M450 mono amp for the sub and Rockford Punch 325.2 for the components.. I got them for sale at Crutchfield. The price was just a tiny bit more on Ebay but, I like the service that Crotchfield offers.
