gas prices!

So it’s now costing me over $65 a week in gas, so I was wondering has anyone out there been thinking about opting out of their truck to a car. Here in Oregon regular is now over $4 a gallon, I love my truck but damn this is getting bad!

This topic is getting as bad as dino vs synthetic or premium vs regular.

BTW, if you're going to post, know your facts. Oil companies have little to nothing to do with it. Oil is a commodity that is traded worldwide. Want to blame someone? Blame Congress.

I got rid of my Diesel F-250 because of fuel prices. My Tacoma gets 17-21mpg. Not really going to get much better with an engine with 230+hp. I coulden't drive anything smaller, I just don't feel safe. But I only fill up once every 3 weeks if I watch the joy riding.

I burn $100-120 in my Infiniti G a week and about $50-60 in the wifes truck. Gas prices go up and down. If your budget is so tight that you can't absorb $13 more than you could a year ago, you need to rebudget. Or...create a budget in the first place.

huh???? a company that sells gasoline has no influence on what they charge their customers for their product..... all the while with HUGE profits? Who may I ask determines the price they sell their product for? I personally believe that there is some amount of collusion that is occurring in the oil industry... no reason for oil to have gone from 25/gallon to 130/gallon in 8 years... (2 Bush terms *cough-cough*)

That is similar to me saying I have no influence on what I charge for eye examinations and "my profits aren't really profits" and please blame the american medical association for my high prices......

not trying to argue... just trying to understand.....
