Canada Scan Guage II & Canadian gallons

I hooked up my Scan Guage II and am really liking it so far. Would really like trans temp but I know people are working on it. It is making me more aware of my driving habits that are not always conducive to maximum miles per gallon - such as pressing down hard on the skinny little pedal.

My question is: Is, or does, the Scan Guage automatically calibrate(d) for our larger Canadian gallons?

So far I am averaging about 22 or 23 miles per gallon calculated out the old way. I have about 12,000 kms on my 08 taco and was also wondering if this will continue improving. For several fill ups my calculations indicated that I was gaining a mile or mile and a half per gallon every fill up.

I would be happy in the mid 20's as the sticker price said it should get 29 mpg. We do however know few if any ever get what the sticker says. Remember these are the larger Canadian gallons!

This is my first Toyota after being a Chevy guy for 30+ years and so far I am really liking this truck. It is fun to drive and there is no problem passing all those crazy tourists that are beginning to clog up the highways. I have had it off road a couple of times now and am equally impressed by its sure "footedness" - not too sure if that is a word.

This forum and the individuals on it continue to impress me with their knowledge and willingness to help those of us who are not quit so truck smart.

Thanks in advance for any help.

(I know this is a bit old but) the scangauge II will use litres, imperial gallons or American gallons – http://www.scangauge.com/support/faq.shtml#20

I've never heard of "our bigger Canadian gallons"? Is it a fourth, metric gallon, or something?

EDIT: Found it (though I promise I've never heard of this before) 1 U.S. Gallon = 3.785 Liters; 1 Can Gallon = 4.546 Liters.
