Florida...How did you fare in TS Fay...

Just wanted to check in and make sure everyone is ok after the Tropical Storm. I've been busy with work/family houses that I didn't have a chance to check and make sure everyone was ok earlier.

My house is fine, but my future father in-law's is close to flooding. He lives on Lake Harney in Geneva. I spent all day Sunday there filling sandbags and trying to protect the house. Probably gonna head back over this afternoon and check up on him and make sure he is doing ok.

Hope everyone is ok and that no one sustained any major damage. I know those in flood areas will be waiting a few more days until they know for sure they that will be ok, but I hope everything works out.

I'll post some pictures of the flooding at his place when I get home.

On a Tacoma related note...I did get to use my truck to drive through the at least 12" high water and pull a few people out.

Well Fay kept me from putting on my 5100 coilover kit all weekend. But it did give me a nice day off of work last Tuesday. My front and backyards are under about a foot of water. I hope to get my kit installed one day after work if there's no downpours when I get off work.

In Coconut Grove we got 7.22 inches over the 6 days the storm affected us. The worst day was 3.6 inches. Luckily it didn't come down all at once, mostly 15 minute downpours. Fay was just an annoyance around here. Since the rain was spread out over time the flooding was minimal and mostly ran off into the canals quickly. My raingauge registered 6 inches in an hour in an isolated thunderstorm a few years back. Now that one created some flooding in my house! Thank goodness for tile floors.

Hope you get things cleaned up ok in Orlando!

we got lots of rain and lots of wind. some small tornadoes, and lots of down trees. shut down a few of our bridges for a few days. but it felt more like a regular thunderstorm to me.

We got hit by the tropical depression left behind. Nothing much, thunder, lightning, rain, lil baby tornadoes.

A lot of places in Jax and St. Augustine flooded pretty bad. Around here we just had some downed trees, light flooding, and few Tornado warnings. Other than that it was pretty boring.
