How many of you tacoma owners have had problems with people (girlfriends, sisters, moms, etc.) wanting to drive your truck? I am kind of scared to hand over the key. I need some good excuses to come up with; or, I could just add a kill switch (for the engine) in a secret place. The only good thing about my Ford was that no one wanted to drive it because all the problems.
Just curious to hear what anyone does when someone wants to drive your truck?
I let family members and close friends drive my truck. Any one else i tell them no. I have had to say no, but with family I let them use it if I know that they are going to be responsible and take care of it.
i can count how many people have driven my taco in one hand. but not because i dont like anyone's driving pr not trust them or anything, but i just enjoy driving, A LOT. even if its not the taco, i l just love driving. the only reason why someone has driven my taco was either because i was drunk or tired on a road trip. otherwise, i always drive
Nobody drives my truck but me and nobody would dare ask. They can drive their own vehicle.

I let a female friend of mine have my keys to get something outta my truck the other day at a friends house. No less than 35 seconds later I hear the engine crank up and my truck backin away from the house....
I learned a lesson that day. Never give your keys to anyone who asks for them.
After going on a brief ride in the bed of my truck whilst it drove all over my friends dirt driveway, i regained control of the vehicle. She thought it was funny as hell, I thought she was gonna nail a tree with my front end.
My folks have driven my Taco, but that's because they've helped me get the oil changed a couple times because of my crappy work hours, and I did swap with my dad once because his cap is always in the way for hauling anything. So other than them and a buddy of mine nobody will ever drive my baby.
