Ok, a little mre than a couple months ago I was going to buy me a tacoma sport speedway blue but things just didn't work out. Went back to the dealers this past weekend to try again. To make a long story short. They are trying to screw me on my trade in. I'm getting those things worked out (maybe) but just can't get the right truck. One dealer says he can get it within days but hasn't come up on the trade-in as of right now. The other, says they can't get it and there is NO WAY the other dealer can either. Is there really not that many blue sport 4WD manual's out there?
They are telling me that they can't get it......bottom line: They only want to sell what is on the lot. Sell me what I want or I don't buy. Plain and simple!
They can get pretty much anything within a few days thru the dealer network.
My 08 DC 4x4 Sport (in Speedway Blue) was not on my dealers lot either, but they got me one with exactly what I wanted within 3 days. I didn't have to pay for the dealer exchange either.
Just get online and search yourself;you can find the truck you want and where it's at,then call that dealer and try to work it out;I've done it a few times.
When I got mine I was getting hosed by the local dealers... So, I just look at all the dealers within a 100 mile radius. Until I found one that I felt comfortable with.
judging from your sig, you will more than likely be raped by trading in. traded in my srt-4 and the trade in value stung a little.
good luck with the trade in. take in your kbb and nadaguide print outs showing what the car is worth.one place offered me 5800 for my 04 srt-4 excellent shape 50k miles.
i wasn't aware i was driving a 5800 car. went to another dealership and was able to get 12500 for it.
hope you get exactly what you want
.....you will miss the boost.
Probably but hey, I'm getting a tacoma You don't regret the SRT - Tacoma switch do you?
Finally I'm going to get it! The salseman called me and said he can have it on the lot tomorrow. I might be getting raped on my trade in but I think I'm making a good investment. I had a toyota before (a 92 model) and I loved it.
I finally went down and picked up my new truck last night. I'm going to miss my Redline but this is a sweeeeet replacement. Now I just have to find places to go to have a reason to go drive it.
If anyone know's anybody that has a Ion Redline I have a few things for sale: Eibach Lowering Springs, K&N CAI & a custom 10" sub box with (with amp & sub). Springs & Box will work on any Ion but not sure about the CAI.
