thats the 64million dollar question....had a good chat with the service director at my stealership re the 55 mph vibe thing...they..dealers, regionals, engineers and manufacturing...are all very aware of the situation...but will they do anything to remedy the problem..i dont think so cuz they state its not a safety issue...
well .. i tell you what...they can take these freakin tacos and put em where the sun dont shine...bulletproof my ass...my last 2 small truckswere sonomas and were half the price of this taco...they didnt have these issues...bottom line in my opinion toyota is not worth the premium price...gm took the vibe issues out of my brothers sierra..but toyotas to good to take care of mine...givem a little time and they ll go down with the big three cuz they just dont give a shit

They dont want to listen to you because you don't know when to use commas or periods.
Just kidding man, on a serious note;
I can understand your frustration. I have seen several websites of people complaining about corporate not doing anything for their customers when the dealers just dont care any more.
Maybe I'm getting old, I can't understand what you are trying to say
all of the "..." got you confused?
He is just expressing himself about issues with his truck and in his opinion Toyota will go down with what i belive he refers to Ford, GM and Chrysler.
To the OP;if you spoke to them like you have presented yourself here it may explain their position with you. Most dealers will work with you somewhat if you present your issue profesionally with them.Just a thought;of course you can always get a Schwinn or the equivilant like you had b4.
i think I got excellent quality for my money. I have an engine in my vehicle that should live for 200,000 miles with regular routine maintenance...not many other manufacturers can claim that and keep a straight face.
And 20k for a truck is not a premium price...closest competitor to the truck I got was 25k, and it was a ford :O
I do understand to some extend what the OP is talking about.
No vehicle I have ever owned has given me the problems this Tacoma has.
BTW, Dana, I have called the 1-800 number twice by now to get problems resolved. Each time, my entire complaint was recorded (or so I was told), and then I was promised a call back from the dealer and the regional rep. I never received a call back from anybody, in either case!
To be fair: I was finally able to resolve everything through the dealership, under warranty. Well, besides the diff humm that I still have.

Almost every engine built in the last 10 years will last 200,000 with proper maintenance.
Almost every engine built in the last 10 years will last 200,000 with proper maintenance.
gimme a few mins i need to pick myself back up off the floor.
I think you dont see a difference between proper and routine.
With a toyota and to some extend honda engines (though the honda civic and accord parked outside fell apart well before 200,000 miles, 110,00 and 155,000), you usually dont have to do any actual repair work just oil changes and spark plugs replacing to get 200,000 miles.
Now compare that to most other engines, that require a LOT of upkeep besides oil changes, Dodge topping the list of crappy. GM is up there too...and wooo whats gonna happen to peoples warranty when they fold...?
