Gas Door Lock Idea

Thought I'd share my shock. And the first person that tries this on their Taco should be banished from all forums!

Traveling through town a week ago and passed a Ford F350 parallel parked on the street. What caught my eye was the gas door lock. As you probably know, those trucks come like ours...just a gas door without a lock. This person's solution? He bolted on a Hasp (like what you see here: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...ctId=100353760 ) and had a padlock locked and hanging right there from it! Right on the side of the truck! If I'd had a camera with me I'd probably have stopped and taken a picture. You could tell he just dented things in to make it work. And it wasn't a beat up truck either! I think he wins the prize for ugliest locking gas door.

Here I thought this was going to be a post about someone who did a mod for locking gas door. I might as well just weld the door shut

Then drill a hole in the door for the nozzle to fill up next time

Seriously though, Anyone ever had a problem with their fuel tanks, Siphoning or putting stuff in the tank? Ever do this to someone before and now you're worried about retribution?

I personally have never added anything to someones tank. The other......I'll attribute to a wayward youth... I thought that all the filler necks now have a screen in them to stop a hose from reaching the tank. Can anyone confirm this?
