Ultimate Tacoma

What do you guys think of the UK's Hilux? If they were in North America - I would have one. 40 MPG out of a truck! Torque! Toyota are you listening?

39.8 MPG (CND)
194 HP
317 ft lbs of Torque
3.0L Turbocharged Direct Injection 4 cyl
Leather Interior
Heated Seats
A hood scoop that actually works!

http://www.zercustoms.com/news/Toyot...cible-200.html

If only the steering wheel were on the right side. Come on Toyota bring these things to North America!

The Hilux Invincible 200 Double Cab is equipped with a Toyota Motor Sport diesel engine performance kit that transforms the performance of the 3.0-litre D-4D engine. Power is increased from 169 to 194bhp (171 to 197 DIN hp) and maximum torque rises from 343 to 430Nm, generated all the way from 1,600 to 3,200rpm, making the Invincible 200 more powerful than any of its market rivals. What’s more, the hike in output brings no penalty in fuel consumption or emissions compared to the standard Invincible.

I wish it just looked better, i mean it looks alright but not like a taco, in my own opinion. I think everything else is superior to the tacoma minus the exterior look

I don't like the Hilux itself but I've said all along I would trade my Tacoma in today for one with a D-4D. They can keep the 4sp auto, though.

They actually do make the Hilux with the steering wheel on "North American side. I use to have a link to one website, they make them somewhere in Eastern Asia. Singapore maybe? I can't remember, but they do.

They actually do make it with the steering wheel on the left side if u want to find it look for toyota vigo which is made for venezuela....
But we do have it here in the dominican republic and to be honest with u its not a very comfortable ride...
For starters the suspension is very hard ,u can fall into a small hole in the street and u can feel that the whole truck jumps.
We have one in our family and we use it to carry fruits from the country side but to have it as a everyday use vehicule its very unpleaseant
