Oceano Dunes/Pismo Beach Videos & Pics

I spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Oceano dunes. Got a few videos and pics. Awesome place to ride and hang out with friends. I don't own any ATV's but my friends do and I didn't have any trouble keeping up with them in my Tacoma.

Comp Hill

This thing is a beast. Has a big block and 15" wide sand paddles.

Saw a few 05+ Tacomas and a ton of long travel 98+ Tacoma's. In one of the videos I hit a couple deep whoops I wasn't expecting and I went airborne for a second.

Sorry for the poor quality but they were filmed by my wife with our digital camera.

Haha thanks! I wouldn't even dream of going out there without a buddy in a 4x4, and maybe bring a shovel and a few planks of wood just in case.

Hmmmm why was it moved? It's a 05+ Tacoma with pics and videos.

Anyways Pismo is a blast! Nothing but good times out there especially when it's packed.

2wd is fine in the sand. Just air down to 12-15 psi and try not to lose momentum. Don't go out by yourself and bring a good tow strap. I usually only use 4wd when going up hills or pulling somebody out. It makes it a little funner and challenging navigating thru sand in 2wd. I did use 4wd in every one of those videos though.

They handled well but were pretty stiff going over whoops. More firmer but controlled compared to stock.

Another video...Got stuck a couple times because I didn't get enough speed and I hit a couple whoops that threw me off track. Damn Dodge Ram had to show me how to do it.

been to pismo, usually ride my quad out there instead. my 4x2 can't cut it, but it sure is fun driving in the water getting to the ride area.
