No More Taco

Well, the Taco is gone. I traded it in for a 2009 Sienna XLE Limited.

In the end, it just made more sense for my family. I'm back to driving my 2001 Infiniti QX4 (that thing is bullet proof) and my wife is driving the Sienna.

As for the truck, I had my ups and downs with it. Beautiful truck, but the ongoing clicking coming from the heating and air blower along with the kazoo sound from the windshield that couldn't seem to be fixed by my dealership proved to be a little too much for me to feel confident in recommending one to my father in law. I really enjoyed driving it, but for a Toyota it seemed to have too many issues and in the end I kind of felt relieved to get rid of it. I did by a new Toyota, but I really think Toyota needs to go back to their old ways of QC. The new Taco had many more issues than my 2001 Taco that I used to have. Anyway, I enjoyed my time here at TN and the site has been extremely helpful to me in getting the most out of my truck. Good luck to you guys!

By the way, if any of you guys need some Toyota oil filters with the replacement washers or a new set of front gray floor mats I've got them. Shoot me a PM with an offer.

Thanks, it really is nice and for a mini-van dare I say...kind of cool because of all the gadgets. It's loaded.

You'll be back...

Until then though, enjoy the new ride.

Thumbs up

My sister has a Sienna, its very nice as well. Very comfortable, easy to drive and the interior is pretty sweet especially the gauge display.

So why are you leaving TN

good luck with the new Mini Van. I'm sure you will find plenty of things you don't like about it once the honeymoon stage is over. I'm with bassman....you'll be back!

You do what you have to do for the family. Enjoy the Mini Van.

I'll check in on the Sienna forum occasionally, but for some reason I'm just not as excited about discussing my mini van on a forum as I was my truck!

LOL, you're already right! I don't like the Toyota navigation as well as Honda/Acura's but I knew that before I bought it so maybe that doesn't count. But yes, I will find things...

Like...It's a minivan? What can you do in a van you can't do with a DC and a bed topper and still retain your dignity?

Apparently you've never had a minivan...quite a bit different from a DC with a bed cover.

No where near the amount of room that you NEED with children, dogs, and a lot of road trips to see family. Not to mention the ride and creature comforts are at another level.
