Way to go - congrats. I'm a WR fan and ride a Suki DRZ400. As a suggestion, before replacing the carb you may just want to clean the unit and replace the jets. It's a relatively simple process. The hardest part is removing the carb from the motor.

Ha, I have a rake just to lazy or to busy to rake the yard.

I got it for 2000.

Now when I first called they said the bike was fixed and when I got there I asked them to run it for me, and they found that they still had a problem with the bike. What is happending is when you trun the petcock on the carb leaks fule out the hose. We my buddy and i talked to the mech. And pretty much siad it was going to need a new carb anyway.

Sounds like your float may be stuck fully open. If you take apart your carb, replace the jets and clean everything up it shoul be just fine. I know sometimes when the float is stuck open you can lightly tap it with a hammer so it lets loose and just falls down to a normal position.
By the way sweet bike! My dad had a 2003 version of that. They are nice bikes.
