OK. I ordered a set of AAL's from Toytec on Tuesday. Everything is fine, shipped out same day, will be here friday. I thought "cool, they'll get here just in time for me to have something to do this weekend. sweet." get home yesterday (friday) and no AAL's. I become suspicious. I check the tracker and it says that the package was damaged during transit...it was on its way to my house from the local distribution center. it says they will contact the seller. Today, it's not only damaged, but for some reason the last place it was seen was across the state and they put this update on there:
TUSCALOOSA,
AL, US 01/23/2009 7:44 P.M. MERCHANDISE IS MISSING. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH ADDITIONAL DETAILS. / ALL MERCHANDISE MISSING, EMPTY CARTON WAS DISCARDED. UPS WILL NOTIFY THE SENDER WITH DETAILS OF THE DAMAGE
anyways, UPS has pretty much ruined my weekend and Toytec won't be open again until monday. Needless to say I'm pretty pissed and UPS owes me AND Toytec a free overnight of a new set of leafs.
rant: off.
typo in subject btw....

that sucks man.... had a similar experience but with FedEX. Ordered a rug (i know i know not a taco part but it was for the wifey for christmas)...suppose to be delivered on the 7th... according to the tracking it was delivered and signed for but I never received.... so come to find out they delivered it to the wrong house 15 miles from my house..... finally got it yesterday and all I got was a "sorry" uhhh customer service now in days sucks.
No surprise;UPS sucks,as does most services these days.I have had UPS deliver multiple times 5 houses away, same idiot driver, same sorry ass responses from customer service. All businesses these days are afraid to deal with inept employees;afraid of descrimination or harrassment suits so they do nothing and we suffer, may as well just use USPS.I once had to go to the local UPS depot to check on a package and observed some trucks being loaded,,,these people have no concern for what is in those boxes they were tossing in those trucks.I commented about it to the clerk and he shrugged his shoulders and said the guys were having a bad day .UPS
i dont know what happened. my guess is that it got thrown real hard and the leaf poked a hole in the end of the box, then eventually just fell out.
either way, i still say to UPS.
I don't know if I would want them overnighting it either...their version of overnight delivery is flying over your house at 10,000 feet and throwing the package out of the plane. I never have good luck with UPS...the boxes always show up in shreds...When I ship through the others, the boxes always show up looking pretty much brand new.
I try to ship with FED EX when every possibe, and that is pretty sad as I have a family member that is employed by UPS...causes fueds all the time because I tell him how sucky his company is
hahaha.
my dad's gonna call them first thing tomorrow (I'll be in school). He owns his own business and knows how to handle situations like this pretty darn tactfully and get results. I would just do this: We'll see what 3:05 p.m. tomorrow brings...
