First time on this Forum. Love my 07 Tacoma and toyota 4x4's in general.
The Australian TRD HILUX with the Factory Supercharger really rocks. I agree with the one post that said he'd have both. (Taco and HILUX)
Just wondering what would 2 HILUX 4x4 crew cabs with d4-d diesels be doing on a flatbed tractor trailer in Charleston WV. On 2-16-09 at around noon, I was heading home on Interstate 77 north and saw 2 heavily modified 08/09 crew cab Hilux's on a flatbed trailer that veered South on I77, after I got about a 2 minute look at them. They looked to be new, with what apeared to be ARB bullbars up front, mild lift, bfgoodrich mt, and the wildest looking beedlocked rims Ive ever seen. the rear truck had what appeared to be a single hard rifle case attached its tailgate. A D4-D and HILUX emblem was attached to there fenders.
These trucks aren't available in the US or Canada and as far as I know they can't be imported or registered here (I guess its possible they were Govt./Military?).
Any info on these trucks would be great. I wish I would have thought to grab my cellphone to snap a couple of shots of them.
Sorry for the long post and I hope I'm putting this in the right place.
